2023 Summer Intern - Actuarial (Fully Remote)
Where you’ll work:
Our hybrid workplace model offers employees the freedom to work fully remote or occasionally in one of our offices. All internships will be fully remote.
How you’ll contribute:
As an actuarial Intern you’ll be responsible for applying your analytical/critical thinking/technical/communication skills to real life insurance business, which will essentially influence business strategy and management decisions.
In this role, you’ll get to:
• Acquire knowledge of Life and annuity insurance products and insurance industry
• Prepare data for company and industry analysis of emerging regulations
• Assist with Ad Hoc Data Analysis requests
• Help streamline the reporting process using Python
• Apply your analytic skills in insurance business
We’re looking for people who have:
• Sophomores and Juniors studying Mathematics/Computer Science/Actuarial Science or other STEM based major
• Seniors planning to attend grad school are also eligible
• Working towards an actuarial career preferred
• Enthusiastic about learning and problem solving
• Prior exposure to programming, especially the python coding
What you expect from an internship with Brighthouse Financial:
• $23/hour pay; 40 hour work weeks (with the exception of holiday weeks)
• 10-week summer program: 5/30/2023 to 8/4/2023
