Department Researcher (Remote Internship)

Job Summary:
The Department Researcher will seek to provide the best sports topics for the SportsCasters brand! The individual in this position will provide a different scope into what SportsCasters is about by providing debate-friendly topics for our users. SportsCasters is seeking someone who is not only personable face-to-face, but personable on the internet as well. This role will be worked remotely and will take place for 13 weeks We want an individual who is a self-starter and can create content practically in their sleep!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Follow the big name sports media outlets and utilizing them as inspiration for topics
- Provide creative thoughts into coming up with new topics for our users to debate/comment on
- Collaborate with the rest of the department on what needs to be posted to the website on designated posting days/times.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Eligibility:
- Sophomore – Senior at a postsecondary institution working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Marketing, or related field
- Related experience with social media is preferred, but not required
- Start date will be discussed upon hiring
