Finance Intern

  • Assist in planning and executing Fund 17’s year-round fundraising plan
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend Fundraising/Finance Committee meetings
  • Create financial statements for the Board of Directors, grants, and other purposes
  • Coordinate with Accountant on various issues, including submitting receipts for purchases and transaction portals
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of a board reserve, savings, or investment account
  • Process payroll for staff and contractors and process deposit fees for entrepreneurs
  • Review and make improvements to Fund 17’s internal Financial Management Guide
  • Assist in financial planning and organizational budgeting
  • Collaborate with Fundraising Intern to implement effective fundraising strategy; collaborate with Grant Writing Intern to provide accurate budgets and financial statements for grants and grant reports

Skills to be gained: G Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, fundraising research, business development and sales, managing a company CMS (content management system) database, nonprofit finance, financial planning and management, report writing, collaboration
